French toast casserole

The night before

  1. Melt butter and add brown sugar and cinnamon; make a paste and spread over bottom of dish a 9x12” dish
  2. Remove crusts from bread
  3. Layer two slices of bread and fill in sides and ends with smaller pieces
  4. Beat eggs and milk. Pour over top.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight

Baking

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF
  2. Bake 25-30 minutes
  3. Drizzle maple syrup on top and run under broiler until brown and bubbly.
