Rum balls
From family recipe book. A holiday classic.
Ingredients
- 1 cup finely crushed vanilla wafers (30-36)
- 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tbsp. cocoa
- 2 tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup rum
- granulated sugar to coat
Directions
- Mix vanilla wafers, sugar, pecans, and cocoa. Stir well.
- Add corn syrup and rum. mix well.
- Shape into balls with wet fingertips, then roll in granulated sugar.
- Store in warm, dark covered jar or can for 1 week.
