Directions

  1. Slice onion into long strips and dice beef into bite sized cubes
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in instant pot
  3. Add beef allow to sear while constantly stirring
  4. Add onions stirring until coated saute for 3 minutes
  5. Add caraway seeds and paprika and 2 more tablespoons butter stir until onions are coated
  6. Add beef broth and wine (if not using wine add 2 cups broth)
  7. Add ketchup
  8. Add brown sugar, salt and pepper
  9. Stir and add carrots
  10. Cook for 30 minutes
  11. Slowly add cornstarch slurry.

Serve on pasta or egg noodles.
